Middle School Youth Group

Brand New! Welcoming all Middle School Youth to join us at St Bernard's Parish on Sunday Nights 5-6pm in the Youth Room (except First Sundays, when there is a Youth Mass). We will have fun discussing the lives of the saints, what it means to be a Christian, and doing group activities to foster and bolster a faith life!

High School Youth Group

The High School Youth Group will resume on September 27th, 6-7:30pm. This year, we will be introducing Dead Theologian's Society to our High School Youth, as well as sharing in Praise and Worship with the college students of the Newman Center. Dinner will be included in the Dead Theologians Evenings.The schedule will run as follows:
First Sunday of the month: Student Mass
Second Sunday of the month: Dead Theologians Society
Third Sunday of the month: Praise and Worship
Fourth Sunday of the month: Dead Theologians Society

The Dead Theologians Society

The Dead Theologians Society is a Catholic apostolate for high school age teens and college age young adults. Through the Saints of yesterday, the Dead Theologians Society inspires the youth of today to become the saints of tomorrow. A special charism of the Dead Theologians Society is to pray for the release of the Souls in Purgatory. Its motto is, “Dead to the World, alive in Christ!” This is inspired by Romans 6:11 where St. Paul tells us to be dead to sin but alive in Christ Jesus.

World Youth Day 2011

We are beginning our process of preparation for World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid, Spain!  Young people from our parishes have attended the last three World Youth Days, the most recent being in Sydney in 2008.  Several young people from area parishes have registered to attend World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid.
